Most of our clients are familiar with the terms “lawyer” and “attorney.” They may not be as familiar with the term “litigator.” A litigator is a type of attorney who does the tough work, including going to court to advocate for clients. It is particularly important that clients choose a litigator in personal injury cases because insurance companies are frequently unwilling to negotiate fair, just and reasonable compensation for victims of negligence.
We fight to protect our clients’ legal rights and interests against insurance companies.
We have a diverse and in-depth understanding of civil litigation and personal injury law. Attorney Jacobs has previously worked for an insurance company. The experience provides her with an intimate understanding of how insurance companies handle personal injury claims, which is applied to better serve our clients. This experience also allows the firm to move forward in a way that is both honest and realistic.
In Connecticut, your employer is required to have insurance to cover work-related injuries suffered by their employees. This insurance should pay for your medical bills and pay you a percentage of your wages while you are out of work. If you suffer from a permanent injury or a wage loss due to the result of your work-related injury, you may be entitled to additional benefits.
When hospital doctors and staff do not perform their duties with the expected level of care, they can cause harm to people instead of helping them. When their negligence causes harm, we are here to help you get justice. You may be entitled to compensation for your medical care, pain and suffering, lost wages and other costs.
Property owners have the responsibility to keep visitors safe. When they fail to do so, victims have the right to file what is often referred to as a premises liability claim. At our Connecticut law firm, we aggressively fight for victims of property owner negligence to help them obtain justice. Our bilingual, male-and-female team of lawyers brings over 45 years of combined experience to premises liability claims of all types.
