GET READY FOR HO HO HOLDUPS & DRUNK SANTAS IN NYC TOMORROW!
SantaCon is about to flood New York City streets and bars of for the annual event. If you live under a rock and haven’t seen or heard of SantaCon, it’s that annual holiday season kickoff when Santa and elf impersonators embark on a bar crawl, making havoc through the city. You’ll either find the booze-fueled scene amusing or annoying to watch. It all goes down tomorrow, December 8th. If you are heading into NYC here is what you should know:
- Expect Grid Lock: Thousands of Santas will begin gathering across midtown Manhattan. From MSG on the 33rd St. plaza between Seventh and Eighth avenues until 11 a.m. Saturday before kicking off the crawl to bars in Midtown, the East Village and Chelsea. The SantaCon festivities last into the night, so be warned.
- Metro-North Commuters: Anyone taking the train from CT into NYC, expect crowded trains and a 24 hour booze ban from noon Saturday until noon Sunday.
- Strong NYPD presence: NYPD will be in midtown watching out for “naughty” Santas!
